Street parking zones

  • Prague has three parking zones:
    • blue (residents)
    • purple (mixed)
    • orange (short-term)
  • Tourists can park in all of them if they pay via the official mobile app or nearby meter, but blue zones are time-limited and require extra attention to signs.
  • On the weekends parking in most areas is FREE, but always double check it via the Mobile Apps.

Paying for street parking

  • Mobile Apps
    • PID Lítačka, EasyPark, CityMove, Parkuj v klidu
    • Pay, extend and find spots via phone
  • Parking Meters
    • Coins or card (in some locations)
    • You will find them on the street nearby the parking spots

Useful tips

  • Always check the signs on the street for your zone type and time limits
  • Consider using P+R (Park & Ride) lots if you are staying longer or don’t need the car in the city centre, they are much cheaper.

Parking in secured garages or parking lots

  • If you prefer safe, long-term parking, secured garages and parking lots are a great option in Prague.
  • They offer 24/7 access, CCTV and better protection than street parking.
